    change your clutch

    Raise hood.
    Disconnect battery negative cable.
Remove turbocharger solenoid pack from air cleaner assembly (Turbocharger Solenoids and Mounting Bracket). Position out of way

Disconnect AAT sensor and remove air cleaner assembly.
Remove throttle body inlet hose (from intercooler).
Disconnect IAC and TPS connectors. Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle body linkage.
    Remove throttle body adapter.
    Remove battery.
    Remove battery tray

Disconnect shift cables from transaxle shift levers and bracket.
    Raise vehicle on hoist.
If necessary, drain transmission fluid at transaxle drain plug.
    Remove both front wheel/tire assemblies.
Disconnect and remove both ABS front wheel speed sensors.
Remove halfshaft assemblies and intermediate shaft assembly

Using Tool 6638A, disconnect clutch hydraulic circuit “quick-connect” fitting

    Disconnect back-up lamp switch connector
    Remove starter motor-to-transaxle case bolts
    Remove front lateral bending brace

Disconnect turbocharger pipe and power steering lines from structural collar
    Remove structural collar

Remove four (4) modular clutch-to-engine drive plate bolts

While removing bolts, one tight-tolerance (slotted) hole will be encountered. When this bolt is removed, mark driveplate and modular clutch assembly at this location, and be sure to align marks upon reassembly.
    Install and secure transmission jack.
    Remove left mount through-bolt.
Lower engine/transaxle assembly enough to gain access to left mount and bellhousing bolts.
Remove left mount-to-transaxle bolts. Remove mount

Install screw jack and wood block to support engine after transmission removal.
Remove transmission bellhousing-to-block bolts and remove transmission and modular clutch assembly.
If replacing transmission, transfer impact blocker, back-up lamp switch, vehicle speed sensor and gearshift cable bracket
