anyone? come on guys
hey i just noticed noise comming from my rear brake pad the other day it only makes noise at random times. i took off my tire and i saw that my inner brake pad was completely worn down while the outer one had pleanty of meat left on the pad. i checked the other side and it seems fairly even pad wear between the pads. how can i fix this i purchased new rotors and hawk hps pads but i dont want to put them on until i can figure out what the problem is. do i need a new caliber? or do i need to rebuild mine? or is it something simple like my guide pins r stuck? any help would be great. like i said i dont want to put on my new brakes until i can figure out whats wrong. thanks
it could be anything dude. theres so many causes. the first thing i would do is have your rear calipers cleaned and adjusted. Start small. You said you had new rotors...even that could fix it. Uneven wear can be caused by warped rotors as well. BUt i would still inspect the calipers before and clean and adjust. They can stick as well so make sure brake fluid is getting through the brake master cylinder to your front brakes. The reason why i bring that up is because hydraulic brake systems are designed in two halfs. If the one half fails, you'll still have the other half to help you brake but it could be causing stress. Do some research on brake master cylinders

thanks yeah either way im going to tear appart my rear brakes and clean the glide pins and make sure everything else seems in good working order. i also might purchase some stainless brake lines while im at it also. but hopefully cleaning and replacing the parts will solve the issue
clean and grease the pins and that should be all you have to do
