because i was having vibration/wobbling issues at one point on my first set of rims and i knew someone who works there and he was going to balance my tires on their machine to see if it made any difference. it's supposedly a much better machine.

every dealership has a roadforce balancer.......problem is.....not everyone uses the road force feature when balancing tires......rocco, just go to a dealership and tell them that you want the tires balanced and checked for road force, also, make sure you tell the service advisor that you want a printout of the road force and balance results........most passenger car tires have a maximum allowable tolerance of about 26lbs of road force, as long as your below that the ride should be fine.....preferrebly you want between 0lbs and 15lbs of road force on each tire, but i wouldn't worry if it's above that as long as it's below 26lbs

Question for everyone....i bought new tires for my new wheels from Mavis....i had them mount and balance them...they were shaking when i got them back so i had them rebalance them still with no prevail. So i brought the wheels and my whole car to another shop and got the whole front end checked out, along with the wheels for any kind of defect, I am good friends with the owner of this shop so I know he took care of me....he balanced the fronts 4 times again to no prevail....do you think it could be something with the tires? Like should i call up Mavis and see if they could replace them? or should i just go get them road force balanced and hope for the best? any input would be greatly appreciated as usual. Thank you. Oh by the way heres a few pics of my car with the new wheels comments bad or good are welcome.

it must be the car then. the ford emblem is offsetting the weight distribution.

looks like old school cobra wheels.

if you've been balanced over and over get new tires. that's what it usually ends up being.

    are those original wheels?
if they aren't the OEM wheels, they COULD be the cause,
but see if mavis can give you a new set of tires first, keep your reciepts from all the balances, and take them to mavis, they shouldn't give you any problems replacing the tires.
if you still have a vibration problem after a second set of tires, i'd start looking at the wheels......

they arent the original wheels, but i bought them with some tires already mounted on there and they drove fine...the tread on the old tires was great, but when i looked closer at them after a good wash i noticed that there were chunks missing out of the sidewall.

yeah i think the emblem in conjunction with the tremendous driving lights is totally throwing the balance off.

see if you can get a new set from mavis, could be that the tires they sold you sat for a while, that affects them, could also be a manufacturer defect from the tires........start there and see what happens....
