Featuring German food, beer, and entertainment, vendors and more! Weekends - September 15th &16th, 22nd, 23rd & 29th & 30th, October 6th & 7th, 13th & 14th, 20th & 21st, and Monday, October 8, Columbus Day.

Free admission! Octoberfest is held lakeside at Bear Mountain State Park. Parking is $6.00 at the main parking lot that can be reached via Exit 19 off the Palisades Interstate Parkway, Route 9W, or Exit 130A off NY Route 17 eastbound. mleeyow and i will be down from newburgh. H, where are you guys gonna meet up to drive over there? I think I'm going to grab marc (mleeyow) and take the cruise down rt 9D south from 84 to the bear mtn bridge. if you guys haven't done it, it is definitely one of the most beautiful drives in the area. and it sure beats driving down 9w/6/218 (boring)

we don't have any logistical plans yet. however, it's probably easier to just meet there. chris lives at the bottom of the taconic, and i'm like 15 min of side roads to the taconic...
the drive on 9 anywhere near bear mt. is very scenic...look for colorful foliage.

it's similar to that summerfest-in putnam... there are (german) foods N stuffs, etc. but i know chris and it's not his thing...

funnel cake, potato pancakes, sauerbraten/wurst, weinerschnitzel, and spaten dark/octoberfest - here i come!

i could order chris a sprite and chicken wrap...and have the waiter with a lisp serve him. :rolleyes:
