hmm i emailed them they told me to tighten the butterfly
Opens and closes when it feels like it. Called McCord. They told me it will be atleast until april before I would see it back because they are going to be away on prior commitments.
How do you run a buisness and not have anyone there to handle daily activites??
F-en shame.
hmm i emailed them they told me to tighten the butterfly
Cant tighten this butterfly because it is the new style that is welded.
Besides, its not the problem. the motor is shot. Only opens and closes when it wants to. I can hold the button for days and wont work. The all of a sudden, it works again. I went through all my wiring and such. Nothing wrong.
Added it is now stuck open.......LOUD!
Should have bought the plate through Needswings. He will repair for free as long as the plate is under warranty
Needswings will not warranty the mccords plate. Mccords does. If Mario can't get it taken care of directly, what makes anyone think Rob from Needswings will?
As for your situation Mario, you can also add a plate to cover the opening.
So remove the plate all together. I'm sure you can find a replacement cover or get one fabbed up.
yea same thing happened to mine. i just use the plate now.

y you guys dont run the qtp is it worse than the mccord or is it the price
y not spend the money on the qtp downpipe then...does it have problems like the mccord
Yes the QTP works with the needswings downpipe.I have it for two years now and it works flawlessly. They even have a device now that can tell you by percentage how far the butterfly is open so you can find a sweet spot if your on the dyno.Depends if you want more WHP OR WTQ?I kept hearing about problems with the mcord so I went with the QTP and I'm glad I did.No leaks or any other problems and I haven't even touched the butterfly with anything like wd-40 etc.QTP FTW!!:yay: Great sales pitch Hah.lol.
