I want to get one more day in before the season ends and hopefully get some clean passes out of my evo and was wondering if anyone wanted to join me. I will be going to island dragway this sunday and plan on getting to the track by 10 and getting as many passes as I can in. If anyone wants to caravan down with me just let me know. I've seen guys there running low 12's wearing open-faced Pyrotect helmets. My friend even ran there this season with a DOT approved, non-Snell rated helmet. Tech guys just said "I'll let this slide this time".:eek:

Question. Which wheel/tire setup should I use. My new 17x8 205/50 set, or the OEM 17x6 205/50. Both have BFG KDW2's on them. I have relatively equivalently worn out out tires for the fronts in either set.

I would use the wheels with the least amount of mass on the front.
I would inflate the rear tires to reduce them contact patches.

I guess from NY exit 10 on the turnpike, but I'm sure thats the real long way. Amy and Chris said it was only about an hour from you, so they know a different way.

Yes, I decided not to come. The trip would have been fun, though not cost effective for me: 180 miles round trip & the spectator cost is also $10.00

TJ gave directions, however - that's way out of the way for Westchester folks. 287>80 near Parsippany will be the shortest route. Island's not that far-it's like about 1/2 way to Pocono! :woot:

I'm also wondering if there's any potential impact from the NYC marathon-on your rides back?

werd... just broke 50,000 last month... and got oil on cylinder #1 plug... misfired a little... the hose from my OCC fell off... sucked, BUT FIXED NOW :yay:

Sorry to everyone for not being social, I ended up not getting my schoolwork done in time for the track so I spent most of the day typing papers in the car while in the staging lanes...I had a horrible day due to traction, I for some reason thought that snow tires would have been better than my kuhmo escta mx's but I was very wrong, I ended up having tire pressure down to 13 psi and still had issues, o well the car went 12.1@121...nice run amy btw...I think I have some video of everyone so at the end of the week when I go to load it all I will host it for everyone...thanks again for showing up, I will be going back on the thanksgiving break because I need to get a low 11sec pass before the seasons out...
