Yo guys, I havent been on the forum in a while because my car has been in the shop for the past 5 months anyway.
What is the highest I can spike with a S1? (without pulling timing)
Mods
03 SRT
S1
AEM SRI
XS Power Big FMIC
AGP WGA
Hallman Pro MBC
Custom 3 Inch Exhaust (no o2 housing)
MSD Coil
MSD Wires
NGK 1 Step Colder
Catch Can
NOS wet 55 Shot
Right now I spike 18 maybe 19 and hold 14 or 15
Im wondering what you guys think considering I run nitrous also
I raced a fellow srt friend of mine (off nitrous) his mods are the same except:
05 SRT
no msd coil
no catch can
no nitrous
no 1 step colder
AEM cai
Turbo XS MBC
AGP Monster FMIC
Spike 20/21 holds 14/15
At 140 mph he was beating me by 1 to 1 1/2 cars
So help me out, I have my boost lower for nitrous purposes but I wanna hear some feedback. Thanks

you guys should all invest in a wideband.
when i was stage one with wga bc CAI dp exhaust i was running a 19 spike hold 15 or so. i finally got a wideband and noticed my afr's where 13.3 NOT GOOD so really invest and go from there.
now its 21 lbs all day long, thanks to fuel and with a scan guage u have the most timing with 21 over that the car pulls serious timing.

isn't (max) 18 safe with stock fuel?

Kwik-e-nuff said it perfectly. I was spiking 19psi and dropping to 16psi at redline before I had an AEM Wideband. I had N2Mb install that and my afr's were 13.2 which is Horrible. So Now I spike 17psi and drop to 14.5/15psi which is still even around 11.8 - 12.0 and that is a little lean. I wish I was smarter and bought a wideband before rasing the boost levels, I was dangerously lean for a few months.
And yes I do have stage 1. Take a chill pill people, we need fuel if we want to hold more boost at redline.

Also get a Aeroforce gauge or some kind of scan tool so you can look at your timing. That will tell you what you can spike at by how much timing your running.

I was getting 27 timing I believe, may be wrong, with a 17psi spike and a drop to 14.5/15psi at redline.

Anyone know what the ideal timing is supposed to be when you read the scan tool at different RPMS? Has anyone logged this or paid attention to it?

put it this way...the more timing you have on a stock turbo working on mopar pcm the better.
when i tune cars i look for the optimum timing point and tune it from there.timing is where the power is made, not air fuel ratios.alot of guys seem to have a very big misconception of how power is made.you can make your car slower by aimlessly raising the boost.
