Not sure if your car is the same as the rest of the 2nd gens but on my 2001 I could adjust the pedal so it wasnt so high.

If you look under the dash where the rod attaches to the pedal the end of it is slotted. You can loosten up the 8mm bolt and move the pedal in to lower it.
here is a pic of the end of the rod.

You have to make sure that after your done that the throw is long enough to disengage the clutch completely.

Did this and now I can reach the pedal without moving the seat all the way up...

im 6'8 ... as in i cant move the seat back enough and ur talkin about moving it up to reach the pedals lol

5'8'' lol very comforatable. And that Pedal thingy works just don't go too low or your gears will grind and won't engage

6'1" (even though everyone else insists that I'm 6'3")
