I finally got around to installing my upper filled motor mount and had a few questions.
-Will it do any harm to the other mounts if I have just the upper installed for now?
-I used blue Loctite, but didn't torque them down. I tighened them a little more than they were when I took them off. Can I OVER tighten them?
-I know you might get some vibrations and a louder exhaust note, but do you get a snarl from the cam gear area?

Thanks. I actually bought it filled and polished. I just polished it with Mothers aluminum polish to get it to shine even more.

honestly u should have installed both it only take a few min. to do in the torque spec on those bolts is about 80 ft/lbs which is = snuging up the bolt and slowly tighting it some more for about 3 sec. as faw as the noise from the cam gear area i dont think its tight enough probally vibs from ur mount

nice billet stuff

That's just how I tightened them. I think I found the noise today. It might be the plastic cam gear cover vibrating. Someone should make a nice billet one.
Thanks for the torque specs.

That's the AFX from Howell Automotive.

I'm not really sure if it will harm anything to not have it....but you might want to put the little weight plate back on the end of that Top Mount........

Awesome polish Job btw.....you did the same thing I was gonna do in the recessed areas on the sides of the mount...black 'em out.

Weight plate?! I never knew what that thing was for. It's going back on tomorrow! Thanks.

I love these PTPerformance caps and billet check valve. You need to make a billet cam gear cover now.

As of yesterday, this IS a Stage 3 car but definitely post some other pictures! :D

You should have followed my How-To to fill the mounts, oh well, those polished ones look awesome!

I put some blue loctite on all the bolts and they haven't backed out at all. You can torque them but getting a TQ wrench to the top mount bolt can kind of be a pain becaue you have to push the AC line out of the way. Just snug them up, with the loctite they shouldn't go anywhere.

I would recommend the Modern upgraded bolt kit as well.

I wish I would have seen your How-To before I bought these. I marked the bolts so I can see if they back out at all. So far, no problems.

Yeah, no problem. Do you know what those mounts are filled with?

Yeah, no problem. Do you know what those mounts are filled with?

My bolts haven't backed out at all, I used blue loctite on them.

They were from a guy on the other forum, Dark-SRT4 "core material is polyurethane mix, but there are two other chemicals added to the mix that keep the heat from cracking the mold while still allowing flex. Almost each mount I filled with just PU ended up forming cracks on the side closest to the motor. These dont have that problem."

They're supposed to be a mix of 80 and 90 durometer.

I used the blue loctite too. I also marked the bolts to see if they move at all. No problem yet.

Thanks man!
It's pretty easy. A light spray of Simple Green, wipe it quick with a wet rag, hose it off quick, use a wet vac for the excess water, spray Armor All on everything and wipe off excess with a dry rag.

It seriously takes 10-15 minutes because I don't like the chemicals or water sitting on there too long.
Obviously the powdercoat has a lot to do with it being easy to clean.

Cool, thanks Tom. Yeah I marked mine with white-out to see if they'd back out. 6 months, so far so good.*knocks on wood*
