arrive at track and pay admission fee

remove front wheels and install slicks

set tire pressure

head to staging lanes

wait for turn

roll through water box to wet tires

rev up engine and drop clutch and do burnout

as the car begins to pull forward ride the burnout out so you dont break an axle

pre stage

stage

rev to 5500 rpm and as soon as the second amber goes off drop the clutch and hold on

edit: stay on the gas until you go through the traps

suggestion - don't just dump the clutch, slip it a little.

Dump the clutch IMO...less chance of bogging or riding the clutch...

dumping it netted me 1.9's, slipping 1.7's. i'll stick with sliping.

everyone here that runs 24" slicks will tell you that you don't need them. i ran a 26" hoosier slick with no tubes, and my 24" m&h's don't have them either. you don't NEED tubes.

i think it's just a way for them to get you to spend more money. yea it's a great safety feature but it's not required like they try to make it seem.

You guys screwing them into the rims? Yes, this is a serious question.

Tubeless 24" M&H's FTW here too...I really don't think anyone that I know has ever run tubes in slicks...

i usually hold the revs up to 5000 and hold the clutch to right b4 release point and when it hit 2nd yellow... dump from there, less stressful on the clutch and a quicker R/T
