i have been going over the wiring for the nx kit i have and i am confused when it comes to the purge... i got the kit used and the power for the nitrous, fuel, and purge were all spliced together... the ground for the nitrous and fuel were also spliced together, and the ground for the purge was seperate... the part i am confused on is how will the purge activate if the power for it is being run through the relay, and will only recieve power when the window and wot switches are activated... wouldnt u want the purge to be on a different circuit with its own power and ground so that you can use it with a temp contact switch? i know this is kind of a complicated question, but any help would be great

of...all......the....people....to........respond.. .......

We should be able to figure it out...what's feeding the n20 to the purge? If it's coming from the solenoid and the arming switch enables or disables this then the switch will need to be active to purge if the n20 is a seperate source, let's say off of a t fitting or box like the zex kit, I think it can have it's own power source. I am not too sure though...can you source install directions from nx for the specific kit and a purge?

i had one power source the system had to be activated to use the purge:vtec:

it was wired up like that originally because it was ems controlled on low side drivers.the power from the system was not controlled by a relay,it was on a fused b+ circuit with the ems would actuate it via grounding driver.

the purge solenoid circuit was receiving its power from the b+ that was also feeding the fuel and nitrous solenoids.it worked as a safeguard for the system.the fuel and nitrous solenoids were on the same circuit so that if there was a problem with the power to that circuit it would not spray just fuel or just nitrous.when the purge was activated it would be done through grounding the circuit to complete it and purge the line.

hooking it up will be simple, you need a 12v source to the solenoid and run a ground wire from the solenoid to the momentary contact purge switch.from the other side of the switch you will go to chassis ground and it will operate like it should
