So I need a new set of tires soon, and I'm not sure what I want to go with. I have Toyo Proxes 4 right now, and I've been pretty happy with them. But they're starting to get a little worn and need to be replaced soon. What tires are you guys using, and how do you like them? Anyone hear anything good about a specific tire?

Here are my recommendations (regardless of budget):

Summer tires:
Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Positions (EXCELLENT wet)
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (EXCELLENT wet)
Michelin Pilot Sports

All seasons:
Bridgestone Potenza RE950
Kumho HP4 (cheap, but well rounded and good mileage)

howard whats the best place to order these SO CALLED CHEAP tires for the cheapest price you can possibly fathom? Cuz as we all know im poor and love cheap HOWEVER good things.. and my tires are all bubbly and are like bologna skins

Sears, Strauss Auto (NYC), perhaps Pep Boys? I found my Kumhos at SEARS not a bad prices which included installation/balance/removal-you just have to shop around and catch a Sears flyer.

Or you can also use your powers of persuasion and bring an advertisement with you to SEARS from somewhere else-and haggle.

i had the yokohama es100's on my rsx type-s...i loved them...now i got cooper zeon 2xs on the srt...so far they grip pretty well, i was spinning all through second with the stock tires...now i grip all of 2nd, but 1st gear i still spin haha.

I've had Kumho Ecsta's on my last car. Those tires last me longer than the stock KDW's ... AND they were cheaper. They were sticky as hell ... I'm gonna go for those next.

I'm only on my 4th month and I already need to replace my front tires, soon. No burnouts AND only 1 day at the track on these tires.

i've had them for about two years, probably about 15k on them. but it's been a hard 15k! they're not done, i have another couple of thousand miles left, but i'm starting to look as it takes me forever to choose a tire.

i have the es100s in 225 and they grip REAL well. i still spin second if i pound out gears but they spin a whole lot less. im guessin with a good dryspin at the track i can hook second real well with no worries

We are past the point where we will even attempt to go down the track on streets, but its getting a little silly on the street. The tires used to have amazing grip, but it just seems now that they lost some of it... I mean you floor it in second and you get uncontrollable spin that will continue into third... Even if you floor it low in third it will torque steer and get a little squirrley as soon as it boosts...

Amy used to be able to knock off consistent low 60's on these tires... They just don't seem the same...

I was torn between the F1 GS-D3 and the Toyo T1-S when I was shopping around. They're both excellent wet tires. I went with the Toyo because of the higher tread wear rating. Although I don't push them too hard, I like them a lot.

I believe it was DaFlyyondawall that told me about the Pirella P-zero's having a tremendously high tread rating. He has em on his wheels. They look incredible!

yeah boy i have em on another set of rims and they are great forgot about em

but they are expensive
