Limerock park May 26-29: Rolex GT Series Challenge

The Rolex GT Series Challenge will feature the Rolex Sports Car Series GT class, bringing the most diverse lineup of cars, models and manufacturers offered in sports car racing to Lime Rock on May 26-29. The Rolex Series GT class features top-end production or series produced sports and GT models such as the Porsche GT3 Cup, BMW M3, Corvette Z06, Pontiac GTO, Maxda RX-8, Maserati Trofeo and Ferrari 360GT.

The Rolex GT Series Challenge will also include the fast-growing Grand-Am Cup Series with its two ultra-competitive classes of race cars, Grand Sport and Street Tuner. One of the world’s best open-wheel training series, Formula BMW USA, and the newest category for the SCCA’s most popular class, the Mazda MX-5 Cup, will be part of the action on Memorial Day weekend at Lime Rock Park.

The Grand-Am Cup Series is one of the premier proving grounds for many of today’s automotive manufacturers and showcases production cars with minimal racing modifications to enhance performance.

Cars in the Grand-Am Cup Series include popular sports and muscle cars, such as such as the BMW M3, Cadillac CTS-V, Ford Mustang, Dodge SRT4 and Porsche 996, as well as race-bred imports such as the Mazda RX-8, Acura RSX-S, Audi A4 and the Mini Cooper S.

Speed WC cars are not scheduled this year at LRP, which is why the Grand-Am racing will be fun Memorial Day.

I like LeMans cars but they are not production cars.
