holy cow do i need slicks....spun 1st, 2nd, and some of 3rd!!! managed a 13.007 at 114.5...stock tires suck allloooot.......if i took a piss before that run i woulda broke 12's.........neways ..stage 3 is pretty cool i guess...

The night before I blew my transmission, on stock tires too.

I ran a 13.478 at 107.64 with a 2.306 60 ft. I had stock tires and stock motor mounts. I was only running 18 psi with a conservative tune.
I will get motor mounts and drags soon, Then i will turn up the boost!

car was having some issues again with the plugs.. as well as running 10.3 afrs to redline in 3rd gear.. as well as my PCM pulling timing so bad its about to explode..

BUT i ran 13.3 @ 106 with a 2.182 60' missing 3rd gear.. i must have missed 3rd gear 3-4 times lastnight.. my car is pissing me off it just goes into 3rd when it feels like it :mad:

best 60' of the night on the DRs was a 2.008..not bad for the 1st time, im just happy i didnt break an axle :D

new times coming after a tune and boost leak test!

If your missing 3rd gear that often, it's one of two things and I mean this with respect.

1) your too nervous during the run or not paying attention.

2) your transmission is having or will be having issues very soon.

As for your tune, what happened to the 12.xx a/f's??

I dont know why you are boost leak checking your car so much :dunno: Seems pretty excessive to me. I've had my car checked maybe twice.

A few weeks ago, I had issues shifting. Then last Friday I had no issues at all. I didn't even change the tranny fluid. Definitely comes down to focus unless you really do have tranny/shifter issues.

Work on those 60' times. You should be pulling 12.9's with that setup.

Hozay- Im hoping its just me.. honestly it could have been my lack of focus cuz i WAS staring at the wideband(no datalogger..) and I since added Stage 2 injectors to my setup.. so I now have the FPR mod with S2 injectors.. and yes I know thats not supposed to be done.. and yes i know thats why my car ran like ass..it also sounds like ass and backfires like nobodies business.. so i need to clamp it and pull all that fuel outta there.. next time i just gotta fuckin concentrate harder on my 2nd-3rd shift and hopefully it goes in

Jeff- Honestly.. at GMR we leak check everyone else's car.. my car has never had a leak tester on it ONCE :lol: .. and yes i def gotta work on the launch a bit but it doesnt seem hard at all with those stickier tires.. it was so cool not spinning through all of 2nd gear haha.. next time out ill be looking for a lot of 2.0s on the DRs and if my gut is right im thinking my car will be a totally different car after it gets tuned - WE SHALL SEE

Dan, what wideband do you have in your car? Just because it doesn't datalog itself doesn't necessarily mean you can't datalog it on a laptop or something rather. Staring at your wideband gauge instead of your RPM's and the road ahead doesn't help when shifting. Maybe you should try getting a shift light to help.
