the lil pansy.. i mean no liimits suggested i be a mod for a new section.. a work out section.. it would help a lot i guess seeing how many of our members are out of shape.. now do be advised.. if this would happen i will no be sensitive to anyones feelings.. i should charge for this crap too :D

your jocking right.. if your talken bout the pic my girl has in her avatar now, ok. i was putting on weight to reach some more goals. but if your talking bout the pic i had in my sig. you wish you could have an 8 pack like that.. i was light in that pic too.. by next summer when i'm 180 all muscle then try n say something.. shit.. fukaround..

Spending all that time working out leaves no time for real fun. It's work and then more work at the gym. Next thing you know you're 60 with saggy muscles. Alot of help that was in the end :)

If there is going to be a Fitness section then I agree that Cokey should be the Mod. After all, if you want better times at the track then you should be as fit as possible.

eh jeff.. i'm not saying you gotta be a body builder and hit the gym 7 days a week.. in this pic http://www.gcsrts.com/srts-admin/pictures/flexin_front(1).jpg i worked out in my house for about a month.. i'm not saying everybody needs a sick pack.. but trust me.. if you knew how much you could suffer when your older just cause what you do now.. you'll probably vomit.. shyt.. i'm all for fun.. and when i'm sixty my mucles wont be saggy.. >;]

I know bro. I worked out for years starting in High School playing baseball. I just got real tired of that routine and decided to go a more relaxed direction and not workout at all :)
I'll just get back into running/biking and the weight comes right off. Cardio is key in my eyes.

I agree...I need to lose 20-30lbs ASAP. My g/f has me on a sort of kind of diet. Being I work with computers I sit on my ass all day and eat, so she now has me on reduced portions of everything. I think I may have lost a few pounds, not that I've been working out but I've been walking as much as possible.
Wish you could pay someone to lose the weight for you. Holy crap I'm lazy, LOL.
lol.. yeah. you couldn't imagine how much weight you could lose just by eating right and not working out.. you don't have to work out to lose weight.. just don't be as lazy and walk a lil.. do a few jumping jacks in the morning.. that's it.. you don't need to run5 miles a day...

yea man that would be a good idea i think...the hardest part of workin out is the first 2wks, once u get used to doin it, it becomes routine and not so much of a drag. i think support from other guys on here and maybe even progress pics would help alot out. i myself need to lose weight...i have the upper body of a mac truck but unfortunatly heavy as well lol

yeah i know.. i would probably hit 190 and drop down some fat to get that defined. It's so hard to gain mass and get cut up at the same time.. it's not worth the trouble..
yo cokey, i kinda forced myself to work out now, i go to powerhouse. i'm doing arms/abs day 1, chest/abs day 2, legs/abs day 3 and cardio on day 4. i'm not looking to get jacked up, just leaner. any good nutrition advise. all i hear is to eat at least 5 meals a day to speed up your metabolism. i'm working out 4 days a week at an hour and a half a day. i'm 175lbs (even though some ppl here think i'm 100lbs soaken wet) which i hear is good weight for my height

I don't have a real good idea on exactly what you're doing, but if you are only doing one exercise for back and one exercise for shoulders, you should do more. However, since you're only looking to lean up, it's not necessary to go the hardcore bodybuilding route so you can get away with a little less. If you're spending 1.5 hrs there 4x a week, do your lifting for an hour and your cardio for a half-hour each of the four days. If you're really interested, I could give you a sample workout to try.

I have heard that too, but I have a hard time buying into it. The way I see it, it's overtraining that muscle. I'd maybe do abs at the gym Mon & Wed, then maybe at home on Fri or Sat.
Other than that, you're on the right track with the 5 meals a day thing, just make sure they're smaller meals, and healthy meals too.

*3 sets of 8-12 failure inducing reps on each exercise*
A "/" indicates a choice of exercise, not that you should do each exercise seperated by the "/".
Day 1 - Flat bench, Incline bench, Decline bench/flys/pec machine. Wide grip lat pull down, dumbell rows or bent over barbell rows, close-grip pull down/close grip seated rows like you are currently doing. 1/2 hour cardio.
Day 2 - Squats or leg press, leg extension, leg curl, calf(sp?) extensions, abs, 1/2 hour cardio
Day 3 - Standing barbell curls, preacher curls, dumbell curls/cable machine curls/bicep-machine curls. Nosebreakers (some call them skullcrushers), close-grip bench, tricep machine/ropes on cables/kickbacks. 1/2 hour cardio
Day 4 - Military press with dumbells or barbell, lateral dumbell or machine raises, rear-delt machine or bent-over reverse flys, barbell or dumbell shrugs, lower back extensions, abs. 1/2 hour cardio.
This should target just about every muscle group and take approx 1.5 hours with ~2 minutes rest in between sets. Granted it's not the steroid-injecting, vein-popping, killer workout, but it should serve you well in both leaning up and adding a little bit of muscle to your frame, provided you're eating right.
And feel free to mix up the order of the exercises and the way you do them. For example, on Day 1, you can start with incline instead of flat bench, or use dumbells instead of barbells for the bench exercises. The change-up will shock your body and promote gains.

yeah try out that routine jay.. it's an excellent regiment for what you want. on the abs thing.. it's weird.. some people can work them out everyday and some can't.. you have figure out what works best for you.. just try abs every other day.. m/w/f that's all you need.. as long as you hit them right. you can rip them up.. i have a pretty intense stomach work out i can show you (almost impossible to tell you how to do it) and remember this.. to gain muscle mass you would have to eat at least 175-200 grams of protein a day. that's calculated by your body weight if you just want to get ripped. stay around 120-150 grams a day.. and remember, fat can be your friend. you just can't eat the non healthy ones.. I'll get more into that at a lata time..
