Stock Boost?

How much psi should a bone stocker push? I've "heard" 15psi. Well mine doesn't get close to that. Usually pushes 11-13psi. Is the gauge in accurate? I checked all the vacume lines and the car only has 6g on it. IS there something I could be missing?

Nah man. 11-13 is excatly what you should be hitting for a stocker. Nothing to worry about.

no 11-13 is perfectly fine, your computer controls your boost to however it sees fit for the conditions such as ambient air temperature and what not.. dont worry im sure your car is perfectly fine :D

im nearing 44k miles on my car and havent had any problems with her yet *knocks on wood*

Sorry, try'n to get smart on this thing. I know I can drive (I'm sponsored), and I know my competition, but this is all new technology for me. I'm also trying to do this all on my own.
I got the green light to mod it from my girl, so, once the LS1 is done I'm gonna start on this thing. With the LS1 I made some mistakes... since I have time now I am trying to plan ahead. If I wasn't up to the challenge I Would have just got a vette. But since I'm secure with the size of my penis, I figured I try and be more well rounded. The more I learn here, the better off I am because the 408 that is going in my Camaro is going to be low compression, and you guys know what that means :eek:

i boost up around 15-16 sometimes with WOT in 3rd (can't get those numbers in 2nd).....i am bone stock....is there something wrong with mine (boost leak?)? it only started going this high recently with the warmer weather....

thats because your computer will boost the car slightly higher in warmer weather because the warm air isnt as dense as the cold...my car is doing the same. 13psi all winter, now im holdin 15-16 in this warm weather
