OK recently I just got a new clutch put in, when i got the car back I noticed it sounds different, I had the Type S BOV on there with the ATP UPP and a CCA FMIC and i got it to fit good somehow, tight fit but it wasnt leaking boost, i was thinking maybe my BOV was leaking boost so I switched it to a RS, i tightened the clamps on the ATP UPP and it seems tight, but boost comes on real slow and makes a loud "whoosh" sound, even before changing the BOV it made this noise and i know its not supposed to sound like that, i cant seem to find where the leak is, i know there has to be one because the BOV isnt going off and its alot slower, any suggestions where to look for a leak? I already checked lower hard pipe and upper, and the clamps arent that great that are on there but it seems like there tight. If a clutch was put in what had to come off? So i can check what came off. Help greatly appreciated:notworthy

bro a leak that bad is your IC piping.. nothing else would leak that bad without you hearing it come from your vac lines.. you might think a coupler is on the IC but it could be off on one lil section or whatever.. trust me

does the BOV go off when you get off the gas after flooring it?

ok the BOV doesnt make the distinct sound its supposed to make, it just makes a whoosh sound and it def sounds like a leak,i am running about 18 psi, i retightened the clamps on the couplers to the intercooler and throttle body but it seems like air is still getting through, when i boost it comes on slow and the car doesnt feel like its moving, so def something is wrong, i know it has to be the cold side pipe, but i cant find out why its leaking. It was fine before i got the clutch put in, i also noticed that the pipe doesnt line up exactly with the intercooler, its kind of on an angle, i got them on the best i could but its still leaking.

yeh your probably right but I cant get the pipe to fit right and i cant tighten the clamps too much without them stripping, at one point the pipe wasnt even on the intercooler and oil was leaking out, the clamp was stripped so i replaeced it and tried my best lining up the pipe with the intercooler and and throttle body, it's on but the pipe hits the slave cylinder, it was a bitch to get on too, had to really force it on, i have a new pipe on the way i hope that will fit decent, but maybe its leaking where that sensor is on the middle of the pipe?

im gonna take another look at it when i get home from work at 5, or check it at work since i'm a mechanic. I'll make a boost leak tester and use the compressed air machine and see where it is. I know once i found where the leak is coming from it wont be a problem and i can fix it.

yeh it makes a LOUD whoosh sound of air, sounds like a HUGE boost leak, not a normal Greddy BOV sound, it did the same noise even with the Type S so the BOV is getting an unknown source of air from somewhere and making that noise, or its not getting enough, i donno.

ok i think I have found the problem...I see a new TB gasket on there its kinda sticking out, they had to put a new one on cuz it ripped when they took it off, this has to be the only think causing the leak, but how do i fix it?

I just found out that the gasket for the Tb is NOT for an SRt-4, possibly for a Neon but it doesnt even match up with the TB, i can see it sticking out.

I didn't bother reading all the posts and it might have been benificial, but there might be a line crossed. I had that same problem and it turned out that when I put it all back together I crossed the red and pink line. The red line is suppose to go from the (insert starting point here) to the #2 solenoid, and the pink line goes from the blow off valve to the # 1 solenoid. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in any area (which I most likely am), but that was my problem.
