sounds like a fouled plug if u ask me, that tends to happen when u raise the boost on cars

was the boost controller actually working when it was hooked up? where was the mbc tapped?

it WAS working.. tapped directly from the turbo.. and capped off the solenoids

EDIT: He replaced the plugs.. not NGKS cuz he said he couldnt find them but he got some other platnum ones.. his car still feels like ass. Once he hits about 5lbs of boost his car starts shaking and bogging?

yeah i know.. i think my friends plugs are still bad.. he ordered the right plugs and wires online.. he bought new plugs but the gap was like .37 or 38.. supposed to be like .3 from what he said, so i said that could be his problem also.. his rough idle went away but once he gets over like 5lbs of boost he starts bogging again

Many things to look at with a DSM. They operate much like our cars do. Although they dont use MAP sensors (use MAF - Mass air flow) they experiece full cut very easily. Even with a completly stock car, if the air is not right, you'll get fuel cut. It's easier on a stock car where boost builds slowly, but when you install a MBC, boost comes on a lot harder. Unless he is running a AFC or something to add fuel, most likely fuel cut is what you are experiencing.

Other option... check the IC pipes, specifically around the sidemount, they tend to come off a bit and make the car studder.

also, gap plugs around .25 and check the wires/coil pack.

.028 to .030

Get some ngk 7es and you should be set.

looking back sound like a boost leak, Intercooler pipe came off.

Sounds like an air leak after the MAF, where is he from? I'm in Union and can take a look if you want.
