Windshield is cracked but theres no point of impact it simply goes from the driver side to the passenger side in a u shape. Doesn't seem to have been from an impact just got out of work and it was that way.

I've heard it could be covered under warranty since there's no obvious cause. That makes no sense to me though.

Could be from all that torque in the front end :D

any chance of it being under warranty then?

Glass? Under warranty? Chances are slim to none. Maybe insurance but I highly doubt warranty.

Might have a chance under warranty if its a STRESS CRACK, put your car back to stock, bring it in.

The Mazdaspeed Protege guys get it done all the time, their chassis is SOOOO STIFF, that the windshield actually cracks do to hard turning or something.

Read this thread if you want more info: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53610

Apparently you can tell a stress crack by running a ball-point pen along the crack, making sure there are NO chips because a chip indicates something hit the windshield.

so to a glass shop to get a stress crack verification and then off to the dealer; i hope this works.

That's not a bad price; I was expecting something in the 200-300 range. If it is legitametly under warranty i'll go for it though. I'm gonna see if it really is a stress crack.

it cracked...thats what sometimes happens. dont try to go back to stock and bring it into dodge cause after the effort they are gonna say "its crack...shit happens." i would just look into ao good price to get it replaced (i.e this guy above me)
