black is not always ground... get a multimeter, test light or probe and check the wires. why do you need the power wire from the mirror lights?

you shouldn't pick up that wire from there b/c it's a constant wire. if you forget to turn the radar off it'll drain your battery. run the wire down to the ignition harness and grab ignition.... blue wire.

I found out that the wire from the radar has another wire (white shell) inside the black wire (exterior).

there should only be 2 wires that you're concerned about.. that's power and ground... the shell is just probably a shield
