Ok as it says i have a shift knob i personally made in about less then an hour using nothing but the best stainless steel..I made it to fit the srt-4 like a glove. It has a secret compartment built in and it locks to the shifter with a set screw so no more pulling the shifter knob off..The weight is 8.2 oz and the stock one is exactly 2.0oz so the extra weight adds to a more positive shift..If people like these im geared up to do a group buy for about 20+ at some where between $35-$55..its all hand made and will fit your after market sts or your slow4dr/ or stock shifter...i tried it on my car and it kicks ass..and the stash spot is perfect for hiding small items..

hand made? damn, u must have some amazing talent!

Why make them with a compartment rather then completely solid?

bump for this was made a poll so please vote at top...and to hozays question its hollow for hiding a possible house key or i have made weight insert that install inside to adjust the weight for more positve shift response...or i can install a nitrous button or line lock the possibilies are endless...

Shift knob looks good! I would prefer a whole solid piece but looks very nice.

i do have a solid design it will weigh a considerable bit more ...i thought it wa a bit heavy but other may like it..its cut out of 1 1/2" 304L s/s round bar, and im gonna offer it with or without knurling for better grip....if people have any suggestion im open to them and if they have a custom idea for a one off knob for themselves i can work something out....ill tell you right now the feel of the shift with the added weight of the new shifter is badass...:woot:

Listen, if you could tap and install two momentary switches, i would be down. That would be nice.....

i can do pretty much anything with this...but i have no clue to what a momentary switch is but i have unlimited resources at my disposal since my work is backing me with a fully tooled metal fab shop and fully stock electrical department...i can have my electrician look in to these switches if you can link me to what they are:headbang:

Push button switches... the ones you press in and hold down to activate and when you release the button they deactive (yah know... the fast and furious nitrous buttons)

i could do it no problem the 2 extra switches+cost of base shifter will cost a few bucks more but still not a problem...:drunk_bud

im probablly going to do the group buy on srtforums since they got the best response to the shift knob but ill post a link here so members here can get a chance to buy one...if it goes well maybe ill go for vendor status here and do a 4mation only group buy with a voted on design(with a total 4 diferent styles)...but everyone would have to agree on 1 style...just a thought:confused:
