Well just put got my top motor mount in.. started driving my car down the street.. and i hear SNAP! Im like oh shit.. my steering wheel went tight.. power steering was gone.. i figured my belt snapped.. alright get a new belt tomorrow.. well the belt did snap. but so did the pulley.. the pulley cracked in HALF.. the one that is closest to you when you open the hood on the top left. Does anyone know which one this is and how much it costs? And if i should just get an aftermarket set and get some HP out of it... thanks

i think hozay thinks he was driving wit only one mount, not that fact that he only installed one hard mount

was that off the stock bolts? or did you buy high tensil strength ones like your suppose to with aftermarket mounts.

Dan, why do a half assed job and drive. Come on! Worse case, u should've came down and had both mounts installed.

I'll pass this on to Jay and see if he has any idea's.

Cuz you know me hozay lol.. nah i thought i could do them both but i couldnt get the 2nd one, but IDK why my fuckin pulley snapped in half

He's able to leap big turbos in a single hop and strong enough to adjust a HOT wastegate with 2 fingers.

LOL!!! yeah im not powerful enough yet to loosen these bolts and fix this shit :(

Good luck, I just had to pay someone to replace the tensioner pully and belt, 2 hours worth of work and cost of pulley and belt = 300 bucks. I don't know about the PS pulley, the belt shouldn't cost more than 20 bucks.

i have heard mostly negative things about upgrading pulleys on our motors, u will have to look into it... i have heard it its too much risk for not enough hp

I think what you are talking about is upgrading the underdrive pulley, it has been linked to blown motors on more than one occasion. I don't think there are upgraded pulleys for the a/c or p/s pulleys. i could be wrong though.

Edit* Modern Performance only sells the underdrive pulley kits, no other pulley kits, so you would have to get it at a parts store or your local dealership.

dan i dont have the pulley in stock but i can probably get it by tommorrow,another dealer shows it in stock but wont know until i call them.
the pulley lists 20.50 and the belt is under 10 bucks.call me tommorrow on my cell and remind me and ill send someone down to pick it up.if you need me to do the work i may have a slot on saturday afternoon or possibly on sunday afternoon

Jay thanks, ill call you tomorrow.. my only problem is getting the car down by you.. i mean its got no belt meaning power steering is out obviously.. i mean its a pain in the ass to drive like that.. but is it safe to drive an hour loL? But if its ok id most likely drop her off friday night after work and just give you my lower MM with it cuz that shits gay lol IF YOU HAVE TIME THAT IS haha
