All is quiet in libraryville. you can hear a pin drop when I shift gears, with a little bit of blow off. Now, maybe its because I am used to the 210 decible-louder than an air horn- RFL BOV, but isn't the Greddy supposed to sound a little louder and not like a mouse fart? I have it connected to where the Turbo XS BOV was connected to. I also pulled out all nessesary lines no longer needed with the Stage1.(uhh, I did this before the Greddy went in so its not the lines). with a 17PSI spike AND hold, I am not loosing boost and it still does blow off but man, It does sound a little too low. Do I need to make it really tight
? really loose? Or do I connect it somewhere else?
the rs is not a loud bov... it is just kind of a whoosh shound and that is it

^^ what he said. You can loosen the nut to make it a little bit louder but not much. Believe me, its 100x's better then the RFL.

Ken, loosen the locknut and then turn the set screw a few turns counterclockwise. keep trying it until you can get it to start blowing off at around -1 to 1 psi, and then it should sound quite nice.

Thanks Ant. I'll try that. I know the Greddy is better and its not that I dont like it, I love it. I just thought it sounded a little bit louder thats all.

I like the Type S over the Type RS, so what if it leaks, BOV's are meant to be noticed!

OK another ?. if it blows off at less then 1 PSI. Lets say around 5PSI VAC. Is it too tight? or too loose.

not to be a stickler but vac is measured in inches of mercury (inhg) not psi... if your bov is blowing off in vac, that means u need to tighten it

The purple has a less high pitched sound and the gold is about the same as normal.
