Ok here it goes (with help from excel):

Year 1,2,4,5 (06, 07, 09, 10): 365.24219 days = 8765.81256 hours

Year 2 to 3 (07->08): is a leap year 366 days = 8784 hours

So: 4 years at 8765.813 hours
+ 1 year at 8784 hours = 43,847.25

Anthony's calculations are pretty much 99% correct with the actual number being 43,847.25 hours. Good job!

(Chris I will frame the excel spreadsheet as your holiday gift bro...)
