Header to dark

I just started checking out the site so I don't know if this has already been mentioned or not but where it fades from grey to black the black is too dark and I cant even see the words most of the time. Example: I can only read half of the poll question on the home page b/c the bottom is too dark to read. The contrast on my monitor is set pretty good. Just wondering if I'm the only one having this problem.
