Wanted to know what everyone thinks about the MSD Coil? If it is a good idea to buy it, because I am about to buy plugs, wires and I was going to get the coil to. :)

no, not insulated enough to hold the high heat, our stock is fine. Plugs/Wires are fine though... or even get a new set of stock plugs and regap. Wires are a +, stock tend to burn out quick.

i've heard that our stockers are still the best for the car.

see Im not sure because in all my old cars changing the coil had a big impact on gas mileage and performance. The MSD coil is putting out 35,000 volts and our stock one is about 25,000 volts.

better keep the stock one in your trunk for when the msd fails......

i think it a good coil the extra current helps burn up more fuel i gain 1-3 hp wit the wires and with gas at 3.50 a gallon it helps

I think so, with the stock coil and the stock wires, my car trapped 125mph...

i changed out the wires as soon as I saw my plug burning out LOL
but i'm planning on keeping the coil.

now the plugs are a different story ... these cars EAT plugs for a living!!

Yeah I have the msd coil and msd wires, I havent had a problem and I ve had it on the car for about 2 months, now that dosent mean it couldnt happen, but Im doing ok with it. I do keep the stock plugs, wires, and coil in my car just in case.
