1st Time At Track...13.5@107MPH

Went friday alot of fun, there were quite a few SRTs there from 4mation. Well i got 3 runs in this is my first and my last which is my best. traction sucks big time NEED slicks or DR bad.

I didn't run last night, but yeah you were running very well. It's hard to hook up on street tires.

Mmmm, most likely not on street tires, which would prevent you from getting those good 60's.

ok i will, well right now im looking for a 15" rim to put slicks or DR on, i want the Rota slipstreams, they make them for our car, im about to order 2 of them gunmetal 15x7 35mm offset 5x100 bolt pattern 125$ a piece, now just need to find Dr or slicks to put on them. If i order now i might be going to the track as soon as i get them.

I'm looking for some 15x7 steelies to use as snow tires and then double for DR's. I've heard great things about the BFG's. That's what Bungles was using.

yeh i was lined up against him he had steelies he must of messed up or something cuz he ran a 15.1 when i ran my 13.9 and i missed second.

i dont know if i want to go with slicks or DR Evo77 from Srtforums is telling me not to waste my money on DR and just get 26/8.5/15 slicks.

Jeff(Bungles) missed 2nd on that run and his car was missing all night also, so he just bailed.

Either one you get, Slicks or DR's will hook better than those streets.

You should look into Kosei wheels. They come 15x7 or even 17x7 incase you wanna go closer to stock size. And from what I understand they are light weight and very durable. Also seem to be the choice rim for a lot of people. Tirerack.com and Forward Motion sell them in packages with either BFG DRs or Slicks.

26" tall slick is gonna be too big on your car. EVO77 has IPP coilovers so he can adjust his suspension. You have eibach springs, your gonna need to go with a 24 or 24.5 slick. Plus your not gonna make enought power on a 26 to come out good, your gonna bog. Get a smaller slick and your good to go!

u will deff in the 12's with those traps..... i ran 13.5 at 101mph with a 2.0 im gunna try and get my slip up.... it my traped droped from a 102mph becuase my intercooler was probley soaked

i did that pass with 100 octance,mbc at 15 psi,intake, 225/50/16 hoosier drag radials....thats it so your good for 12's if i had a down pipe with no cat i woulda be running 116 octane with 17psi and i bet i would have touched low low 13's

Hitting the 12's isn't that easy to do with just adding a set of DRs. Now my ride wasn't tuned at all last year and my best was a 13.23@105. I just about hit 106. If I was at 107, not sure I would of been in the 12's. Now with slicks maybe a 12.9 is possible.

Definitely alot has to do with track prep and your launching is key.

If you get slicks, your chances are much greater to get 12's especially with that trap.

Should be fun for all this year.

That was a bad night for me. Had issues with my plugs and wires and I thought I just had some bad gas. The car was misfiring like crazy so I just hung it up for the night.

We'll line up again this year, I'll make sure of it :D

i just purchased the kosei k1s in 15x7 just recieved them in the mail next day tire rack owns!! and im just waiting on my m&h 24.5x8.5x15 slicks with tubes to come in the mail :)
