I purchased a Garmin C320 GPS, but didn't want to keep the unit on the windshield, so I bought a semi-permanent mount that allows it to be mounted next to the boost gauge.
The mount is made by Ram, an aftermarket GPS mount company. It lets you mount the unit there but if you want to remove it, you can use Ram's windshield mount for another vehicle (such as a rental car). The Ram mount that attaches to the GPS has a fitting for the factory power cord. It can easily be removed and installed on a windshield mount as well. It's affordable, and because it is removable it can go to another car without fuss. Here is a pic if you're interested:

Thanks, Hozay--sense of direction was never one of my virtues; with the 512MB card in it, I can travel the Eastern seaboard from Ontario to Florida. Anything more than that and I'm taking a plane :D

I would love to get navigation for my car. Maybe next year when I decide to do the audio/visual stuff. I'm already tired of performance mods.

For a 20 grand car, they're pretty quick out of the box, but modding can become an obsession--you always want a little more. Mod it too much and it isn't quite as driveable unless you know your stuff--that wouldn't be me, though;)

I think im wayyy past the part of obsessive modding :boxing: I'm content with the power my car has. Didn't build a track warrior, but a nice highway monster :bandit:

Okay, but just don't race me--I hate to feel inferior :)

You can buy the 320 on-line for about 420 shipped! Add to that a 512 or 1gig card (the garmin comes with a 128mb card, but a 512MB holds the entire eastern seaboard states, Pennsylvania and Ontario). I purchased the Ram mounts from the Ram mount website, which included a permanent base, a windshield base, the cradle which holds the C320, and the stem for 50 bucks. So for about 500, you're never going to get lost again... :auto_07:
