so i finally have some dry roads in ohio so i picked my buddy up of mine and went out to tune my car. when i floor my car from a low rpm, it gets rich as hell.. like 10.0 and cuts out. when i ease into it, then floor it, just lights up the tires in 3rd. then cuts out at like 5k. so we looked at the fuel pressure, and it was at 30.. we put it up to 50 and my car ran like crap.. same symptoms, just worse. then p0107 came up.. my map sensor. sooo, i've read and heard that the neo's ground wires (black and brown) will trick the map and send it into limp mode when its grounded through the pcm. i read that i should splice the two together, and run them into a chassis ground instead, and that will make it better?? is this true? anyone else have this problem? i also heard that the neo could be wired up wrong, so i'd have to double check them.
also would my fuel setup be the problem? regtak rail.. but.. the fuel feed into the bottom of the regulator, then into the rail, then out the rail - into the reg. again. then out the return line. so my reg. is on the right side of my rail and thats where the fuel enters and exits.. but aparantly agp's setup is the same? idk it shouldnt make a difference, but i'm just throwin it out there
off topic but.. with my boost should i get a new map sensor? cause i dont think the stock one can handle it. possibly a stage 3 map or a some other kind of 3 bar map.
any feedback is appreciated!

if you need a map sensor i have a 3.5 bar...good luck figuring out your problem
wow, your A/F is uber rich and you bump the fuel pressure up? A turbo can't build boost if its being chocked by fuel. Of course its going to roast the tires with partial throttle, the PCM doesnt recognize WOT until 85% throttle (someone correct me if im wrong here). Set your base fuel pressure to 43 or whatever you need it at, turbo your boost down to wastegate pressure and start tuning, once you get that tune working good for you, up the boost and add more fuel... your never going to build boost properly if your throwing a pound of fuel in the cylinders

i'm running stock spring boost.. 12 lbs now. it still does it. and it wont tune.. we took 50 points of fuel out, and it still dumps fuel like its nothing
You have it hooked up wrong then or the Neo is defective. He's an idea...buy something better. :thumb:

well i know it works because we changed the idle, and watched the wideband change.. and i definately saw a difference while driving
Then your post is misleading cause you said you took 50 points out and nothing happened. If that's the case your FP is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high. Turn it down to 43-45 and then go from there.

it was at like 48. but it wasnt doing anything after i turned it up. its like wayyyyyyy to rich to even lean out. it even sputtered when i started out in any gear.. at 30 psi it was tuning.. but still fallin on its face in the end
Sell the Neo and buy something better...Or seek a professional to look at it. :thumb:

i go to school for this shit, i wish i took a class like this. lol. but thats why i'm havin buddies from here do it. but i have electronic class now, so imma bring it in next week and trace the wire to see if it was hooked up correctly. and i think aaron from realtune performance or something isn't too far from me.
I had the same issue with my SAFC II. Was hooked up correctly...turned out to be a defective unit. I'm telling you just sell it and get something better.

hmm.. but what? i just dont like SCT. idk why, i just dont. i wanna wait for jay to come out with his!!! lol
what is not to like about the SCT? I wouldnt buy a PRP cause you have no idea what to adjust inside the settings, but you can get a decent canned tune (enough to make boost and still have safe A/F) until you can get it tuned by a pro.
You can also get a predator which allow you to make your own adjustments.
SAFC's are the worst

You should be slapping your forehead for not listening in the first place and wasting money on that Neo.

damn.. $900 new with the sensors.. holy shit. i'd rather spend the little more and get an ems
and then spend another 1000 to get it tuned hahahaha as stated above SCT FTW!

true. the diablosport predator is only 375... well i'm stickin with the neo for a little while.. after i sell my .50 trim i'll apply that towards a new fuel setup, so i have time to shop around. but for now, the neo will just have to do

Do you have a boost reference source on the fpr or is it a static pressure #? What's the boost at at WOT, 12psi? What size injectors are you running?
Everyone's answers (except for Lance) seems to want to throw parts at a problem without deducing if that's the actual problem...no offense I'd trouble shoot with someone who knows what they're doing before buying MORE parts...:2cents:
:stfu: Jon...you know damn well throwing money at the car fixes everything!!! :paranoid:
Honestly Matt I said it before and I'm gonna say it again...GO TO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING!!!!!!! And not some tool you have a class with.

i agree. yes i have a boost source to the fpr. and yes 12 psi at wot. well it was 24, my mbc isn't working lol i couldnt turn it down anymore, so i just bypassed the mbc.
but i took my car into my shop today and i found the two ground wires, and they were grounded through the pcm.. so i just cut it and grounded it on my strut tower for now, and if that doesnt work, i can always just splice it back in.. but i floored it in 2nd for a couple seconds and it didnt cut out at all. so far. i think i still have to turn my feul pressure down though

i know.. but i want to get it running good with safe a/f's first

sigh... the way you rationalize things really scares me. Aaron does do good work, but wanting to take your car there because they can make a refrigerator go 11.62... come on dude.
