New guy and Cobra Owner

Yea I drive a Cobra but Im still cool cause I like most cars, the reason for my interest is cause my best friend has a 2002 neon that he put a turbo on. I told him to get a custom tune but he chose not to and his car runs like poo, is there a place where you can mail order a custom chip for his car with a ballpark idea of his mods and boost pressure so that his car will run right?
I am sorry I sound ignorant I just come from a totally different world than you guys and dont know all the 4cylinder tuning guys, thanks for your help.

believe it or not, 4cyl tuning is not all that different from mustangs. we have a turbo fox as well and the transition to the srt wasn't all that difficult. there are some things that are different of course, but overall there's more in common than not.

hey, whats up... I think ive seen you cobra over in svtperformance.com.. you have the beautiful screaming yellow with the RK plasmas right? heh.. I used to have a 03 SB cobra, but now I have a SRT4 with a GT40 turbo... Its a totally different car, but it still pins you to the back of the seat... :D welcome aboard.

hehe.. My old 2003 Cobra wasnt slow. 400 whp with just intake + exhaust! I love torque... and Borla stingers = heavenly sound. haha

Winters around the corner, so my cobra would just be sitting my garage depreciating... With the "neon", i can drive it around in the winter time under no boost, and I will be fine. Plus, This will be my toy car, and I will eventually go back into the V8 swing... maybe in another few years, and get the C6 Z06.

This is no the typical SRT4 either.. hah, it is pretty much setup to kill some people in the roll races. GT40, 750cc injectors, extreme fmic, return fuel, etc etc...

Yea, I miss my cobra, but this car handles so much better, and when the turbo kicks in, that torque is amazing. Very fun car... Just hope I dont blow the engine anytime soon...

with some decent tires, sure... its 750 lbs lighter, its FWD ( no scary OVERSTEER), so handling will own the cobra. The cobra, with a tap of the gas, the torque overwhelms those beefy steamrollers and around and around I go. It was no fun trying to drive that around last year...
