I took my stock air box out for some house keeping. But lol, forgot to put the three solenoids back in when i started it and backed it outta the garage. Also my friend was messing round and left the black line off of the wastegate as well.
Tripped three codes 0033, 1105 and one other one but i cant remember what it was and forgot to check during lunch.
P0033-surge Valve Solenoid Circuit
P1105-tip Sensor Solenoid Circuit
and i forget the third number
i think it was P0443-evap Purge Solenoid Circuit but im not sure, i reconnected everything and its running fine. Just wanted to make sure its ok to go foreward.

How do you reset your chip? I was told to just unground the battery.

I changed my oil last night as well. The oil light came on right after i got done. When i checked the dipstick it showed that it was a lil overfilled at that point. This morning it was dead on. Then the light just went off today when i went to lunch.

So to recap:

Since i neglected to reconnect the top three solenoids to the airbox i tripped three codes. How can i reset the codes, i am about to take it into the dealer i dont wanna drop it off like that.

Has anybody else had issues with the oil light after a change?

Thanks
Rinko

the codes aren't caused by the solinoids not getting placed back on the air box, it was because the black line was disconnected from the wga. as long as you put everything back in place it should be fine.

never heard of that with the oil, not sure why it would do that.

to clear the codes, either disconnect the batter for about ten minutes, or disconnect it and then pump the brakes for a little bit.

Thank you amy. I would have asked on aim but work = gay i think they blocked it.

To follow up.

Has anybody ever rigged the stock airbox??

Im talking about just cutting the bottom off so the filter is exposed on the bottom and the side closest to the fender wall.

I was looking at it and if you just cut the bottom off it would still sit in there b/c the mounts are on the side above the bottom of the filter.

I know its cheap. I dont really care about having the stock airbox. Im never gonna sell this car. And i plan on getting a cai/sri pretty soon.

What do you think? Possible?? Drawbacks? Think it would void the warranty? lol

I can clear the codes for you, PM me if you're going to be headed up to aviation this weekend and I'll give you directions to my shop.

My oil light goes nuts too. But it's usually a cold morning start-up. I shut the car off and start it back up and the light goes away. I've never had a problem with oil changes.

I don't hear any engine problems so I assume that the oil pressure is okay. but I really do want to check it with an oil pressure gauge.

those codes are from the solenoids being unplugged
