im going stage 2 without toys and have an 03 without lsd ,my next step is to find some slicks will they work good with my stock clutch, it doesn't slip now at all but with extra horsepower? i dont plan or have the money to do a clutch anytime soon.

i've run slicks on stock clutch and even though your clutch doesnt slip now .... chances are, it will slip at the track. How many miles on your clutch?

since you plan on launching the hell out of it im assuming because of the slicks, i wouldnt count on the clutch to hold

plan on launching at around 3 grand feathering the clutch.
mine went with s2 and slicks at about 40k and launching the hell out of the car like every week for 2 years
why not just buy a new clutch? your gonna either fry the stock one or... fry the stock one

well im just buying the stage 2 other then that iv'e spent well over 1,200 on visual's on my car, i can't afford to keep dumping money into the car when i haven't even enjoyed it, i know im going to need one but as in right know stock ftw ,i will probabley get smaller size slicks or even very wide drag radial's ,either way feather the clutch pumping the gas will have to do:emb:
my stock clutch came out of my car when it was making around... 342whp and looked perfect, never launched it, but that was around 20k miles, then comp went in and came out looking like shit 10k miles later at 385whp
my concern with your clutch is 50k miles... =/

yea i understand im going to run the car with the tires i have now, and then purchase slicks ,the first owner was an adult the only thing it had was a rice plate ,he used it for work but we will see, if it pops it pops i will take one step at a time.

i wouldnt waste cash on dr's. just go with slicks. if you cant upgrade the clutch right now then just be careful at the track.

im not going to be pushing that much power, and i ain't going to be launching the piss out of the car, this is my first time at the track with this car not in my life ,iv'e heard of cars with stage 2 on stock clutch my car was adult owned and i don't beat on it ,when it comes to change the clutch i will ,i don't have the money to just change the clutch for the sake of changing it ,it grabs now when it doesn't i wont be racing or driving it that what i have my daily driver im not trying to make a racecar ....yet .
i ran my stock clutch for 40k nitrous, slicks tons of high11 low 12 sec passes and didnt give out, maybe i had a freak

my clutch was just replaced last week... 39k, about 10k of which were stage 2 no toys and lots of launches on drag radials both on the street and at the track. It'll hang it there, but not for very long.

Yeah I think maybe I have a freak stocker too! I'm looking to get a clutch sometime this season. I have 46k and well over 500 wot shifts on the stocker. I bought the car with 33k on it, and its at the track pretty much every weekend, and it still holding strong, but with my new mods, and new found power, I have a feeling that it wont last too much longer!

I had plenty of passes down the track stock turbo with slicks and drag radials.... I guess I there's a lot of freaks around here.

Mine lasted 2 launches on slicks with 361whp. And I only had about 10k miles on my car.
