Ok everyone is always saying that if you use nos, you will blow up your motor. I have a friend with a GTO that has a 150 shot. He says the way he has his set up is not bad for the engine if your not constantly using it. Is there a way to use a small 50 or 75 shot w/o damaging my engine?

I am no NOS expert but from what i have read on it a wet shot is the way to go. I would assume a wet shot and a meth kit would be a really good combo. Wet kit takes care of the extra fuel ull need wile spraying and meth kit to prevent detonation in the motor and keep temps down.

GTO's = LS engines which = big dry shots.
Our cars can do a 75 WET shot pretty well on stage 1 fuel. Some have even tried doing a 100 WET shot but its risky as you might "puddle" the nitrous once it hits your intake manifold. And under no circumstance should a dry shot be attempted, unless you got some engine management

the engine itself can handle the nitrous, if you make sure the nitrous isn't a lean shot. its nitrous backfire that messes things up. unless its a direct port setup dont run anything more than a 75 shot or else you'll get fuel "puddling" in you IM and UPP. then boom goes your intake mani.
basically, if you run it safely and take every necessary precaution, you can run a 75 shot on a regular basis. you need a rpm switch, tps switch, bottle heater, fuel pressure switch, and most important, a wideband. you need to keep a close eye on your AFR's.
you mite want a walbro 255 as well. i ran a 75 shot without one but every car is a bit different.
