I don't think 40k is that bad for that car... i can't wait till one comes off the truck, i am sure it will be the only time we run across the street to check a car in..

It's just the fact that these muscle cars are getting so expenive that we can't buy them anymore. And by we I mean people from age 21-30-whatever. It's all old dudes. It's been like that for awhile.

when my dad went to buy his vette the guy that owns the dealership said something along the lines of...
15 years ago it was the father egging on the son to buy the vette, now its the son egging on the father to buy it
he worded it better but the idea was, younger people cannot afford newer cars anymore

It seems as if it's going that way for a lot of models.. a Nissan Skyline in Japan is reasonably priced where a 21-30 yr old can afford it yet the USDM version is set at $70k+ ??? Makes no sense

That's exactly what I mean. While I was looking for an LS1 I thought about saving up for the new Camaro. That idea lasted about a week when I realized; 1: I'll never be able to get one because they'll all be spoken for and 2: The price will be way too much, especially with dealer markup. They'll be able to sell them for whatever they want.

That's before the dealership sticks their hands in the pot. A local Dodge dealership has one coming in for a guy...They rocked him over $70k for it too. They wouldn't say how much over $70k but even if it was $70k on the dot it's still WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than a normal person could pay.
this car can go in a plastic bubble with a gnx and give it a run for appreciation value in 20 years

Maybe if they only make a 1000 or so.
Introduction begins with limited-edition Dodge Challenger SRT8 models - each with numbered dash plaque
numbered plaques add 10rwhp

EXACTLY!
I'll stick with my stripper SS. "Hey babe, can you roll up your window, it's getting chilly in here."
