greddy tt aren't the best one to get. i have one too. it won't work w/ our cars. there's a way you can adjust it but the tach signal on our car is different from japanese cars so the tt can't read it. as far as your tt shutting off on you.. did you adjust it from acc->ign? b/c we have 2 ignition wires.

i hooked mine up fully and it works fine... i dont use the tach option anyway... i just let it run for 1 minute everywhere i go... idleing doesnt waste much gas at all, so its not the worst thing... but i have mine read the voltage... what you gotta do is hold the left button, and press the middle button at the same time and it'll be a menu and you can select off of that...

it works... the thing that doesn't work is the speed sensor and the "fully automatic" feature where it figures out how long it should run for. i have it in my own car... easy to install. i just wished i never got it.

True. Idling doesn't waste that much gas. BUT Excessive idling (especially at operating temps.) can cause carbon build up on the valves and valve fillet which is the sloped part of the valve between the stem and face. I've heard that 30 second idle time is perfect even after a hard run. Preferably with the fan running as it idles.

The point of a turbo timer is to allow the turbo to reach its idle speed so that it doesnt have to slow down from 10's of thousands of rpms un-lubricated.

The typical turbo spins at over 100,000 rpms at high rpm's but at idle its usually close to idle rpm.
Just a tip/suggestion take it as you will.
Carbon build up is a bitch, it can cause cylinder leakage and excessive load on the cam due to added weight from the carbon.

true, but doesn't the manual say to idle for 3 and 1/2 minutes after hard driving?

I got my speed sensor to work, Its been so long since I did it, i forgot which PCM connector you had to run the wire to. Ill check it later today and post up.

I'm far from a mechanical genius but isn't the point of letting the car idle for a couple mins after a hard run before killing the engine so that the oil in the turbo lines passes through and doesn't sit there boiling hot. or something like that?
