It looks alot more complicated than it really is. Running the wires into the cabin was the biggest PITA. Other than that, plug the sensor in to the exhaust and wire up the gauge. Zip tie the excess wire together to make it clean as well. Also a tip, there is a nice little spot on the crossmember to zip tie that little box w/ the plug on it, I would personally mount it there.

a. Red 12V supply - Power (Power the XD-16 here also)
b. Blue Heater Ground - SEPERATE Ground
c. White System Ground - Ground (Also can ground the XD-16 here)
d. Yellow Analog out 1 - Nothing
e. Brown Analog out 2 - Nothing
f. Green Analog Ground - Ground (Ground same place as White)
g. Black Calibration wire - Nothing
On the guage, there is a power, ground, and 2 1/8 jack inputs. With the supplied 1/8 to 1/8 plug, go from the OUT of the LC-1 harness to the IN on the XD-16 guage. Put the dead plug (1/8 plug with no wire on it) in the IN of the LC-1 harness.
Tape the Yellow and brown wire out of the way. The black wire is a calabration wire. Put electrical tape over the exposed part to make sure it doesn't get grounded by accident, then tape it out of the way.
Make sure the heater ground has a seperate ground. Any questions, ask.

just make sure all your connections are SOLID and NEAT! because once you're finished about to test it...if something doesn't work, it's a nightmare to troubleshoot with all those wires.
the other thing is you need to calibrate the sensor before turning the car on. Two methods:
(1) If you haven't turned the car on yet...good. Once everything is hooked up, before actually turning the car on, just turn it on accessory. The wideband should start to display shit. Hit the button 3x then it should display CAL, then hit the button once more. Thats it. your finished.
(2) if you've already turned the car on with the sensor in the pipe, then hang the sensor in free air and turn the car back on, calibrate it, then put the sensor back in.
If i've given wrong info, please feel free to correct me. But I think that calibration method is correct.

just jam the wires into the fuse panel.. no need for to add circuts.. just stuff it in then put the fuse over it :D

im also planing on installing my emanage and eo1 what do you guys think,
think i could do it any tips????
i just installed my gt3076 and a return line i also have s1, big fmic, agp hard pipe, hks bov, agp cai, b&b 3 inch turbo back, agp mm ,and tranny mount, turboxs mb controler, aeroforce gauge..
i also have 750cc injectors and walbro fuel pump i havent installed this stuff yet waiting to install the emanage and eo1 to tune...
im running this turbo at 10 psi so the car is slow as hell i cant wait to tune it..
what do you guys think?????

i've never done injectors but the fuel pump isn't hard. just make sure you put all the seals back in and seated correctly, otherwise you'll have a leak (like I had) lol
as dred said, unless you're going to be a professional installer, all you need to do is shove all wiring into your fuse panel area. You dont have to go nuts and cut wires to correct lengths and put in extra circuits. Although doing that DOES help for trouibleshooting and any future installs that you will be doing, but its not necessary.
good luck!

Injectors are easy. Search for a thread started by superfast-4 on here. I explained step by step how to install 750's. As for emanage/e-o1, get it professionally installed. It is a bitch. just my opinion though.

chris i was 100% kidding about the jamming the wires into the fuse panel  i just said that cuz we had to do that with my profec cuz we ran out of addacircuts
Fuel Pump is cake.. 750s are easy too, just make sure you have 2 equal 5mm spacers and replace the Orings on the 750s with the orings from your stock injectors.. it makes for a better seal.. then start her up and check for leaks. dont forget 750cc injectors need 40-43psi of fuel pressure..

hey guys i go the wideband wired, theres power to the gauge but its not reading anything. theres like 3 lines on the gauge and 2 dots under the 2 lines,
i tryed to calibrate the gauge by hitting the button 3 times and when it says CAL i hit it one more time but it still wont read anything, the only thing im getting from the gauge is this code rE5 or it might be rES one or the other.
can anybody tell me what this could be, i was thinking maybe i need to take the o2 sensor out and calibrate it then put it back in....
can anybody help me please this sucks...................

12-20-06, 02:57 PM
oh ok i got it to work thanks man :yay:
its reading kinda crazy it goes from afr to percentege real fast its that normal ?
its showing alot of numbers real fast, i know it sounds like im asking stupid questions, i might be but i just want to learn how do i use the gauge
im not tuning yet but i still wana know how to use the wideband i dont understand it can someone explain to me how to use it
thanks again co pilot i appreciate it

The lower the number the richer aka safer you are running. The higher the leaner. Under part throttle conditions you should read close to "stoich" aka 14.7ish range.
Jonassrt4
12-20-06, 05:15 PM
hey i think theres something wrong with the o2 sensor because it shows a bunch of numbers real fast it never stops even on itle and every 10 seconds it flashes o2,
and the lights stays at red on itle a and it jumps to blue but not like it should it would not go up and down throgh all the colors it will only flash 1 red light and 1 blue light back and forth also it jumps from afr to percentage realy fast.
i dont think the o2 is bad i just opened it today i think when i got the bung welded i got it welded in the wrong spot, i got it on the down pipe before the cat and is not facing the 10 oclock position is more like 11 and also i dont think the o2 is all the way in the down pipe.
so if is that can i weld a new bung to the o2 housing is it a good idea to do that.....

the numbers will always be on the move.. constantly between 14 and 15 at idle.. under open throttle you should be anywhere in the low - mid 11s for saftey.. optimal is 11.7 - 11.8 before you get to the dangerous 12s range.. as for the 02 flashing.. idk i have AEM not LC-1 sorry
Jonassrt4
12-20-06, 05:37 PM
no but the numbers go crazy it goes to 20 then to 7.5 then 13 all diferent numbers all the time it wont go like lets say 11 11.3 11.8 nothing like that its always high numbers then low numbers then it flashes o2 every 10 seconds its weird never seen anything like that
can any body tell me whats going on

u have to calibrate it. leave the car off over night, and before you start it tomorrow morning, calibrate it. It should work fine after that.
Its doing that right now for 1 of 2 reasons... 1) u didn't calibrate it, or 2) u calibrated it when exhaust fumes still in ur pipes, ie, u didn't have ur car turned off for 8+ hours before u calibrated it.

Correct me if i'm wrong but placing the bung before the cat is incorrect.

I'm going through the same drama right now. I've done the calibration from the gauge and still the same thing. The LC-1 still reads the correct AFR if I connect a laptop to it. But I'll save the problems for later on :D
Go up to Innovate's website and register for the support forum. There's a lot of good info up there and they should be able to help you out more.

The bung has to go in between the cat and you O2 housing.

Before we go there, lets just make sure it isn't a calibration error. I have calibrated my guage a few times with the car on and all it does is basically sit at o2.
On a side note, Menace's guage won't turn on anymore... whats up with these guages :dunno:

There really isn't much to it. Like you said, leave the car off for a few hours. Innovate recommends 6-8. Then put your car on so that all your gauges are on (accessory), press the small button on the XD-16 quickly 3 times, CAL will flash, then press the small button again. It should go into calibration mode. "Should". But it doesn't always.

It's not his fault, it mysteriously stopped working one day...I tested the gauge itself on a seperate pwr and grnd and nada...only comes with a 1 yr mfg warranty also...so I was going to just get the little lcd screen that Andy has. If it was install error the error would have occurred way before now....
