great, its an s200 with a supra swap. i dont see any dyno numbers or any track passes. For all I know it runs a 14s 1/8 mile!
looks nice, but there's no proof of anything on that video!

obviously they wont give any numbers, they said it is only on 9psi bec of the stock rearend, but it is a single turbo 2jz which will be a monster when it is done

Oh my indeed.
never a big fan of swaps like this
i like supras, and i like s2ks...
but i'd rather see the engine it came with at its potential rather then a diff cars engine, kinda takes the fun out of it... no?

we all know it doesnt compare to your supra that has a catch can, k&n dropin, and a new car scent air freshener that is puttting down 600hp to the wheels
i shot those guys an e-mail letting them know that when they put in that silvia rear that some evo axles would be a perfect addition
that 9psi on what looks like a t67. Thats still tons of power. That car was probably making 400hp at 9psi. The rear ends go on those cars around 450.

Very weird; on the way to work this monring there was a white S2K. I thought to myself how nice the car was, I always liked them, and that song was on Sirius too...

thats filmed 10 or 15 min from my house (navare FL) cool I guess but I have seen it in person (driving by) I didnt know it had a 2jz just thought it was turboed. to be honest I didnt even pay much mind to it. there are quite a few turbo s2ks here.

had a run in with this beast on the road today... I guess he thought I would try to race him but I know better lol.
he got on it into full boost right behind me and did a nice flyby and braked, he did that about 4 or 5 time trying to get me to race. shit I just wanted to hear the turbo lol. sounded like sex on wheels lol. ohh and umm fast too.

What a way to mess with what the car was built for. An S2000 is a track car, they could have gotten alot of power out of that F20c(or F22c) motor without wasting all that money on a 2JZ-GTE swap. Do they not know how freaking heavy that Iron Block Supra motor is? I would guesstimate that the front/rear weight ratio is pushing 60-40 or even higher towards the front. This is now just a straight line drag car.
They could have done better swaps. RX-7 owners almost never consider the Supra Turbo motor as one of their swaps due to its weight. They go with the LS1 which ironically weighs just as much as the 13B engine itself. Why did the owners not go with the LS1? They can get just as much power out of the proven LS1 block as a 2JZ-GTE block, so thats not an advantage for the supra.
Anyone else agree or can explain this?

I was actually wondering the same thing. I would belive the reason for a motor like say a LS1 would be its size I think it would be a little wide for that engine bay. I do agree that the point of this is rather questionable but the owner wanted big power in a s2k without blowing 30k plus to get similar results with the stock engine as he has with the 2jz. dosent seem to me that the guy is intrested in much other than street racing witch is 99 out of 100 times in a straight line.
but I can say it pulled really well and sounded awesome, definatly a built 2jz in it. so kudos to him for spending 20g on what he wanted even if it is a little odd.

Because it's cool, different and works. It doesn't always have to be about top performance, whether it's straight line or a track car. Some people do it to be different. That car is probably fun as hell to drive.

the s2k has got to be lighter than the supra too.. and its a great sleeper. Imagine some tool like me rollin up to a honda thinking im about to PwN his ass cuz i have a SRT.. then he opens the dump on me and gives me some of that 2jzjuice and i start to
PS. people do put LS1s in S2ks also.. id love to own a 2jzs2k.. thats all im gonna say ;)

yeah I gave it two thoughts but I reconized it from the interwebz and remembered that it was a 2jzs2k, just as I thought about it he gave it some gas and wound up that turbo and let out some boost through a fluttering ssq. My exact thoughts at the time "damn that shit sounds so good, 2jzsrt4???? damn FWD!" lol

I like this concept it shows someone trying to be different as Marc and I believe Dan stated... I wish I could see more ideas like that..
